Upon arrival at the Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport, proceed to immigration (passport control) and present:
The organiser's shuttle service is available to take you to your hotel.
Important: airport pick-up is only organised for participants arriving on 25 or 26 May and staying at the official hotel — Wyndham Garden Astana. Earlier arrivals and other accommodations must make their own arrangements.
Kazakhstani Tenge (KZT). Most restaurants and shops accept credit cards. ATMs are widely available, but bring some cash for exchange.
Exchange at your hotel or city banks — not at the airport — for a better rate. Euros (€) and US Dollars ($) are accepted for exchange.
English is not widely spoken by the general population, although usage is increasing among younger generations and in major cities (Almaty, Astana).
Russian remains the primary language for international communication, along with Kazakh.
No strict clothing rules. In cities and tourist areas wear whatever is comfortable (within reason).
At spiritual or sacred places:
Accommodation is at the participants' expense.
A shuttle service (at OC expense) is organised during the Final from Wyndham Garden Astana to the venue.
Invited: athletes + 2 accompanying persons. Additional persons require OC approval and may be at the accompanying person's expense.
The organiser invites all athletes to the Gala dinner on Saturday 30 May.
Athletes may attend with 2 accompanying persons. Additional persons require OC confirmation and may be at the accompanying person's expense.
Dress code: black-tie or business formal (suits for men, dress or suit for women).
The OC and the Equestrian Federation of Kazakhstan have organised a city tour on Saturday 30 May. Detailed schedule will be provided during the event.
Out of respect for the OC effort, the visit is considered mandatory. Included for athletes and accompanying persons.
The FEI Jumping World Challenge Final takes place alongside the CSI-W FEI Jumping World Cup and the CDI 1*-3* FEI Dressage.
Athletes and accredited accompanying persons may stay and watch the various classes during the event.
Subject to last-minute changes.
Verify your hotel check-out date and time — if your flight is in the night of 31 May → 1 June, you may need to check out before leaving for the venue. The hotel can store your luggage until your departure.
All athletes must bring their own material. We strongly recommend keeping riding equipment in the cabin when travelling to avoid baggage loss.
All horses are provided with their own tack (bridle, saddle, protections, etc.). Athletes may bring their own saddle — it may be used only if it fits the horse, in agreement with the horse owner and in accordance with the rules.
